15 June 2015
AUKUH has published guidelines on the allocation of programmed activities for research in NHS trusts. These were produced by the AUKUH R&D Director group in conjunction with the AUKUH Medical Directors group and approved by the AUKUH Chief Executives at their meeting in May 2015.
This document describes the unique contribution of UK university hospitals to the NHS. It outlines how the delivery of specialised clinical services that map on to academic interest and clinical expertise can help university hospitals do more for patients and provide leadership in the health system. The document includes university hospital key statistics, features and research impacts.
