University Hospitals awarded top scores in 2007/08 Annual Health Check

The Healthcare Commission’s Annual Health Check, released today, has once again demonstrated that University Hospital Trusts are the best places to receive top quality care, after scoring highly during the
assessment for the third consecutive year. 82% of the English member Trusts of the Association of UK University Hospitals achieved an ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ rating for ‘Quality of Service’ and a rating of 76% for ‘Use of Resources’, compared with the national averages of 76% and 60% retrospectively.
For the third year running seven Trusts have maintained a top rating in either quality of service or use of resources.
